There isn't any pretense here. This food shack doesn't beat around the bush. It's all about the meat. The pork ribs and chicken are OFF THE CHAIN. They don't need any sauce, though you can add some if you'd like. They were both moist on the inside, flavorful, perfectly crisped up, and had just the perfect amount of salt and flavor. The rice and corn-on-the-cob were decent - nothing fancy, but they're supporting actors anyways. Seating is a couple of basic benches shaded by sun umbrellas. Best chicken and second best ribs I've had on Oahu, and the owner and his kid are generous and kind without being overbearing. Six out of five stars!
I had the pineapple smoothie and delicious mahi tacos. The shack staff were friendly and helpful! The yard birds added to my joy as they got a few chips from me. This food shack is on a property of a food truck park and artisan wares and it’s eclectic, all Hawaiian local feel and just perfect. Found out the property is owned by the Giovani food truck and there is another food truck park at the Sugar Mill next door.
Kahuku Hulihuli BBQ & Seafood Company is an absolute must-visit! Best hulihuli on Oahu. From the moment we arrived, the friendly aloha atmosphere made us feel like ohana—I even met my new best friend there! The food was incredible, with plenty of gluten-free options to choose from. The wood-barbecued hulihuli chicken was perfectly grilled, juicy, and flavorful, especially paired with corn on the cob, coleslaw, and a kick of sriracha. The shrimp tacos were equally delicious, packed with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. One of the highlights was watching Eric skillfully cut open fresh coconuts for the kids to drink from and then eat—it was such a fun and unique experience. If you're in Kahuku, don’t miss this spot. Amazing food, great people, and a true taste of island barbecue!
We put down the 20 large huli huli chicken plate like it was our job. Seriously some of the most unbelievably juicy, smoky, flavorful chicken to be had. Best parts are where the skin gets so crispy and blackened right around the edges- those bones were CLEAN when we were pau. The juice that the meat releases pools at the bottom of the container and is perfectly mopped up with two scoops white rice. Mac salad was mean too but could have used twice as much, and I always respect some corn on the cob. Nice to see the huli huli action in the back to verify just how bomb it's about to be. Forsure will put you in a kanak attack and it's worth every bite
Saw this place online. Had a little difficulty finding it because it's a bit down the road behind some other stands and shops. So glad we kept searching, it was worth it! We tried a steak plate and the huli chicken plate and it was all delicious - the sides too! Super friendly folks here just doing their thing!

We ordered grilled chicken and burrito and they are both so good! Grilled chicken is crispy on the outside and tender inside. You can smell it from far away. The location is a bit difficult to find because it’s behind all the food trucks but trust me, it totally worth it!
So good! Great flavors and you can smell the grill from afar! Generous portions, aloha feel, shaded seating. Owners are so nice- thank you, Omi! We had leftovers for later, and it still tasted just as good.
